PostSubject: Drift Event Last Weekend   Tue Aug 14, 2007 1:23 am

I went to a local Drift Event last weekend with Mike91 and my other roommates to see what all the fuzz was about Exclamation

Surprisingly our buddy in a '92 240SX actually did really well even with the one tire fire thing going on Exclamation

He went threw two sets of tires, and then broke a wheel stud... Sad

He was kinda bummed Exclamation

All in all it was a good weekend event, but the best part was capitalizing on the PITA PIT

bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce

Its soooo gooood!

I had a good time too, It sorta sucks that I didnt have my car there. It was the first race that I had a little support and I sucked horribly. Atleast I can blame it on the car. Alltrac's FTL!!!

I have actually thought about that. One of our friends has a 92 mazda b2200 like devons, and last year we put a built 13b 6 port in it. Its pretty quick, He is willing to sell the truck for 2400, so maybe we will do something with it.

i would jump on that deal. all the hard wiring and things are done already. just work on the suspension and your good to go. the rx-7's do pretty well power wise in the drift scene so the truck should do very well compared to the weight distribution

How do you figure? The rx7 has a perfect weight balance, not to mention that it is a lot lighter than the truck. Suspension parts are easy to come by and are direct bolt on for the car, The truck would have to be total custome, The car has 4 wheel independent suspension, the truck doesn't. Not to mention that the truck doesnt really handle that well. It really isnt that much work putting a 13b in a mazda. I built the motor mounts and the cross member, Used a mix of truck and car parts and put it together. The only thing that he had to buy was gauges and a intake manifold, fluids, belts, and thats about it.

Good call brother mike...

I will second that notion, for the reason that I have personally owned 2 RX-7s in my day Exclamation
