| you could sell them and but pioneers slim mounted subs.. kicker has them too. otherwise you box will need to have more volume and depth due to the std mount of the alpine. this means your typical box will be like 3" deep at the top and like8" at the bottom, and will use nearly everything you have in available area from seat belt to seat belt. or you could get buckets and build a console down the middle of the cab with the subs in a line on diff angles... gonna need to stretch form this one though. | |

| Or you could mold the rear of the inside cab out of fiberglass to 1/4 inch thick. Then get wood rings to set up your subs on wooden stilts. This will maximize leg room. I'm 6 foot and i still have leg room in mine. | |

| it's tricky in a regular cab, but possible. i think it's key to start off with subs which aren't too deep, and are meant for a small box. | |

| I measured the subs and they are 151mm Deep so say about 5 15/16", but um i dont think that is too deep for a box. seems pretty slim... Lets see what Slammedyota can come up with... Very help full guy... | |

| 1 quality 10" sub in the proper sized box should be more than enough for a standard cab mini! previous owner of my truck had a single 10 in it, but too small of a box, and it still sounded pretty good. | |

| cmon now i was able to fit 2 12" subs into a miata trunk and still have all the main trunk space available with the proper air space.
typical single cab boxes are slim and long, you are probably best to get thin speakers as the rest have mentioned but you also have to worry how close the speakers are to the back of the seat/seat's because constant pressure on the cone will wear the voice coil much faster | |

| Behind the seat I have a Crunch 1000 watt amp, with two 8" Earthquake SWS subs. It hits harder than I thought it would. Better than a Kicker 10" in a truck box I had on the floor before.. Lol. And the seat still folds all the way back. I'm 6'3" with a tiny truck and a bodydrop. I fit fine. | |

| If you have some cash sitting around, Alpine has designed a pretty sweet setup meant for regular cabs and such small spaces. They actually use about 5 small subwoofers in one box to equal the same amount of air moved by a 12 inch subwoofer. They're pretty expensive and they may not fit, so I think the best way to do it is build the box to the exact dimensions you have and try to find some subs to fit. Here's the Alpine system link: http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/product.php?model=PLT-5 | |

| I am an installer and down in the south here we use 8" subs. Two Memphis Car Audio MC8 sub ported behind the seat with a Memphis PR 500.1 works for alot of my customers. Just a thought. | |
