My Mazda Project

Incase you are wondering what I have been up to... Here's my 89 Mazda B2200 project.

looks good so far cant wait to see the finished product

still a ways to go.. but I'll get'r there.
Hoping to atleast have the cab ready by fall.

what kind of color scheme are you going for?

Black and silver is what I keep coming back to..
Not sure.
I wanted to paint the frame silver, but decided that black would be better since I was unsure on body color.

bout how much did it cost to get that valve cover chromed and where around here can i get it done. that looks clean as hell.

It's not too bad...
I know a guy that owns a race shop here in Gastonia, and I had him send it out to a guy he uses. It took about a week for the valve cover, the two lower link bars and the upper wishbone. I think I paid $300. Not a bad deal, but not the absolute best I have ever seen... I'd call it a middle of the row job, but I'm picky. I can hook you up if need be. Just lemme know when.

okay thats cool, i think im wantin to send off a valve cover and water neck and possibly an intake

I assume the A/C Pump is serving as an Engine Driven?

Thats the next mod for me....my two 480Cs just don't cut it!

r u running the weber or the holley? it looks like the holley. i love that air filter, but the weber only has clip on style filter locks.

yes... a/c is now edc.

Holley or Weber? - yes and yes...
I see you noticed...
Weber carb 32/36 and Holley filter.
Had a lil' fabing to do, but it looks cool and it's not square. I also mounted it sides ways rather than straight like everyone else.

All of the engine internals are new and/or reconditioned, and all of the outter components are the same. Lots of polish, paint, and a few pieces chromed.

All that work has payed off in my opinion!

That isn't something you see everyday, and thats what is going to set your truck apart!

what color is the engine bay going to be when finished because really dark deep colors set the chrome off and white also does

I haven't really decided on the truck color yet.
I have always leaned toward a black and charcoal scheme.
I love the dark look, so my guess is it will end up this way.
The fire wall will most likely end up black. The block being silver should contrast well with that black background.

yeh im a dark color man myself.

Whichever color you decide, I think it will work out well!
