See.. here's the beauty of it all.. The picnic is not only for the DC members... but for all custom owners in the area. This provides a chance for all to meet up, talk, eat, etc. At the end of the day.... Everyone knows about DC, and the forum grows. If it becomes annual... new members, every year. Nothing bad about that... Additionally.. the mags may be willing to help advertise with this "picnic" concept, since it's not the run of the mill show, and later may cover it as a feature once the event is large enough. My last two cents.. I know most of you have now heard of Ground Zero (my car show)... The picnic is next on my list of things to do.. however if it goes well, it may be that Ground Zero and the Picnic become a combined event, rather than two seperate events. I'm tired of the same ole show format.. so this would be a great opportunity to change the concept. [stepping off my soap box now] | |
