why would you need an 80 amp relay instead of a 30/40

maybe we should do some researching to figure out why. this could be the difference in a ride makin it to a show and burnin down on the side of the road.

My 30/40 Amp Relay has been fine since I wired my truck!

So it cant be that crucial! Maybe it helps reduce the power draw from the compressors and gives em a little more juice?

yeh it probably gives them more juice but one must remember what the duty cycle of there compressor is. dont want to overheat that brand new 400 dollar compressor

If you are running more than one compressor of one relay then I could see why you would do this, but I run a relay for each compressor!
