for those of you who love the pre 86 mazdas

here are the pics of my 83. i talked to the guy that bagged it when i went to texmex 07 in tomball, texas. he bagged it with manual valves and had a few things done to it but then he sold it to a guy that shaved everything and painted it with hok candy apple red with a pearl base, then that guy sold it and it eventually got to me. i have got some serious plan to bring this beast back and make her strictly my show truck. here you go...

cool. one thing that is going to happen is a 305 with 350 heads and a nice little cam. bodydropped and a wood bed and wood floor cab, and wood door panels. dash will stay like i made it and the ratrod shifter will stay. don't have any idea what color though.

some kind of blue, like not too dark, yet not too light either. kinda like the datsun on this months mini truckin cover. an i was thinking you should go 18s in front and 20s in rear, whatcha think??

i don't know about the 18/20 combo cause i want to keep the full moons.

it has actually got white walls on it now and i am getting ready to strip it down and paint it flatblack. but i don't know what the final color will be. i was thinking about a flatblack with a bright red pin striping but it has been done. so i don't know.

oh im talkin bout some thick sidewalls not the little stripe. im crazy bout white walls. i have a feeling once you flatblack it you are gonna fall in love with it and not change. cuz you know what the old saying is. once you go black you never go back.

oh, and i should add that a guy drove up to the house today and tried like hell to buy the 83 off of me. haha, told him i couldn't do it. but as soon as he left it started to cross my mind. as much as i hate the fact that i didn't build it, i would still regret selling it. i could use the money to finish my future daily but i will have to come up with another way to get the cash. haha

he asked what i wanted for it. i told him that i couldn't sell it. i love this bodystyle too much! plus it is the first truck i have ever dragged so there is some sentimental value there. haha.

bad butt truck, ive been trying to get my 83 back from the guy i sold it too. i wish i would have just kept it.

i cant find pics of it when i had it. heres how it sits now. it was stock when i had, well i put new fenders on it and shaved the corner lights..

just playing I like the old look of the truck but at the same time I still like the way it looks now... I will trade you my 89 for it hahaha

this is no longer my truck, when i had it was the stock brown/gold color with teal primed fenders. im in the process of getting it back though.

uh, yeah just a little.

i use to own that green mazda with the stars on it. when i had it it was still stock, with the exception for the front fenders being shaved and primed teal green. the current owner lowered it and spray it flat green with the stars. i trying to talk the guy into getting back from him since he threw a rod out of the side of the block. hope this clear it up some.
