another new guy.

I am new to the whole mini truckin thing so dont expect much out of me. I dont even own a mini truck. I use to own a 92 mazda b2200 with a small block swap that was pretty sweet. The reason I joined is because devon (devb22) is my roomate, and he is a pretty sweet kid, so i figured I would see what it is all about.

Its true this guy is my roomate!

He is more into the Auto-X scene and is apparantly pretty dang good at it!

He is a Wizard at anything involving engines and has some pretty good fabbin skills!

So I hope he will help capitalize on some topics here!

welcome to the site. dont worry about not knowing everything bout minitrucks. thats what the site is for is to learn and share knowledge. its good you know engines inside and out because everybody doenst have that knowledge so hopefully you will be able to shed some light on some peoples problems or questions

sowhat are you using for auto x?

I have a 91 toyota mr2 turbo. I race in a sm2 class (street mod 2) I also participate in solo pro events as well as open road coarse. I love speed and I dont think it is anything I can quit anytime soon. I am a adrenaline junky for sure. In the winter months I rally race. And I hope that in 2010 I will make it to the alcon 5000. Its a 5000 mile rally from seattle to alaska traveling across the frozen lakes and icy roads.

sounds sweet. a buddy of mine has offered up a probe for either auto x or road racing. just need to get the go ahead from my wife. will probably end up just auto xing tho. did it with my mini once. looking to oct to maybe give it another go. had a blast. enjoyed the hell out of it.

oh man that 5000 mile race sounds like fun. so how do you get time off work for this kind of thing? lol.

not really into imports, but sounds like you are. hahaha but u know engines and i dont thats good hahahahaha.

Thanks guys. I am actually a fabricator by trade and I do my own thing so getting time off work isnt a big deal to me. I have been racing for about 4 years total. I pretty much love cars in general so. Its not just imports. I would love to have a zo6 vett somday. I really enjoy my car. It is the only thing so far that has made me smile everyday. I love the fact that I can literally blow anything away. And the cars that I cant I can usually hang with. As for the rally, it will be a blast. You can either have a team of 2 or 3. The best part is you get to travel across the frozen artic ocean.

I think I am going to do it with my other roomate. He has a 92 toyota gt4-rc which is a rally car from japan. Its pretty much the same thing as a toyota all trac but its right hand drive. Its the only legal gt4 rc in the country so it is really rare. But we will see when the time comes. They have the rally every 2 years so there will be one at 2008 but I dont think I will have all my stuff together by then, so 2010 it is.
