| I wanna build a small Segway type of scooter thingy.. Doesnt have to be two wheels.. 4 is cool. I had in mind an all alluminum chassis with 2 wheel chair motors and a couple batteries to power it. May be 4 skate board or inline skate wheels. Anyone seen something like this? | |

| i am not sure what a segway is but i have seen a guy at the race track that was riding on a gas powered skateboard that had a set of handlebars in the front that he steered with. is that something like what you are talking about? | |

| segways are propeled with displacement of weight, got a friend in FL that got one for about 1.5k NIB.. the guy he got it from was doing some illegal things and got 20 of them.
anyhow, there would be no way to make a quad into the same design of a segway since leaning forward and backward make the segway move, although you can put an electric motor into the quad.. not sure how big they make them but you will need one hell of an electric motor to move a quad and yourself.. | |

| yeah i want to use an electric motor... no gyro's like the segway. 4 wheels is just an easy way to stabilize it and steer. I'm looking for something low-tech that i can use to get from point a to b at a show... being lazy. | |

| you could use one of those electric scooters. and just put two more wheels on it and change the steering. or just put one more on the front and it would be just as stable with one out back | |
