| hey guys i've been debating on whether or not to go to 4x4 sheetmetal. i dont want to because i love the body lines and looks of the 2wd metal. i was just wondering the process of narrowing rear ends and how much $ that runs? what kind of places can do it? i would like to narrow the rearend atleast 3in. because i think that would give me just enough clearance to not rub when layed out. i know 4x4 metal isnt going to help when laid out so thats why i want to get it narrowed. i love the rims i have on my truck and wont switch. -justin | |

| I don't know the area that you live in, but where I am at we have places like: Tom's Differentials Tom's Affordable Transmission Burnett's Transmission All of these places are able to shorten a rear end professionally. As far as the cost is concerned it is quite a bit of money. We are talking in the hundreds....Easily. You might try and find a metal fabrication shop, they dabble in that kind of thing. I would honestly stay with the 2wd Bed and try just flaring your bed sides. MT Mag put out an article on it awhile back specifically for the B-Series trucks. Here it is: http://www.minitruckinweb.com/tech/body/0309mt_fender_flare_tech_how_to/index.htmlIt works really well and is super safe, I used it to flare the bedsides on my 4wd bed. Good luck man. | nah it tucks fine its just the inside of the bed when layed out. above where the flare stops. what about early mazda or courier rear? does anyone know how much shorter they are? | |

| Thats the whole point of flaring the bedsides. You will bow out the spot at the top of the wheel well where you are having problems...Trust me. I had the same problems when I laid it out on 18s. Just my 2 cents. Dev | |
