Members Garage?

It would be neat if you could set it up so each member has his/her own garage where he can post pics and get comments!

Similar to MazdaBScene setup?

i was also wondering about this. i been searching for a link on here so i could build a garage

no garage.. I'm looking into this, but I did create a gallery for all to use.

okay for the garage so to speak.
goto the gallery (link at top)
then click personal galleries at bottom,
then click my personal galley then create my gallery.

it says im not allowed to view the gallery.

I wasn't aware you could not get in until dropped90 and i had a chat session the other night... I'll let you know when it's resolved, if at all. They have it set up as admin only and I have to see how to open this up...

yeh byron im still not able to moderate anything either need to talk to dev to see if he can or not

Have you triedto click "moderate this forum" at the bottom where it says permissions? If there is a link there... you will be able to gain acces to the moderator control panel.

it sems that everything is working now except moderate this forum which i can do without

so if you eneter a forum...
the permissions section at the bottom say you can moderate this forum, but when you click on that link it doesnt show the moderators control panel?

I'm gonna place a test thread in the Archives section I want you to see if you can enter the forums Moderator Control Panel, and manipulate the thread by locking, unlocking, editing, and then finally deleting the post.

Lemme' know what happens.

Here's the deal on the gallery.
I was unaware that only the admin has access to the gallery for viewing and posting. This really sux.
The only way I can have a public gallery is to pay for it.
I have no problem paying for a gallery... as long as I know we will keep the forum going, and it will be worth the expense. For now, I want to see how things work out and I will add the gallery a little later down the road.
Adding the gallery comes along with the Pro version, so it will allow us to do more with the forum as well. I'm all for getting the Pro Version, I just want to see some growth first, so I can validate a return.
Something I have considered is having a business section and allowing business's to purchase subscriptions to the forum for them to post messages / sales, speak to customers, etc - Like Grant does on MazdaBscene.com - This would offset the expense of the ProVersion.
Sorry about the gallery issue.. but we'll get it.

i think the advertising blocks is a great idea. plus it would give people quick acess to catalogues and things. im still tryin to help the site grow

as far as ad blocks.. i am sorting out a way to do it with an ad rotator... but getting the code to stick on the forum is my biggest snag right now...
need that Pro Version... i'm thinkin' to implement this correctly.

Byron, I had expressed interest in sponsoring sections, advertising, etc. long before this was mentioned on here. Hit me up with some info man!!

Also, I'll see if the guy I know will lend a hand and at least some info, let me ask him if he's kewl with me giving you his email. If he is, I'll send you his email and you can ask him for PHP tech help. He's the one that helped me with my sites and forums, and had us set up with a garage for each member with multiple rides, etc, etc. He's hella good at this stuff.

Get at me about the business info though!
