| i've seen several donks in my area, and i finally got the chance to get up close and really check out the suspension on them. well i got to looking at the brakes and on all the ones i've seen they are all jacked up with 26's on them and have four wheel drum brakes. are these cars not an act of christ to get stopped? is this safe? i dont think it is. | |

| I'm sure they stop like a freight train... 26" is a lot of rolling mass, and I'm sure most of them haven't made any brake enhancements. | |

| most of those things are hacked up... i'd be afraid to ride in one unless i knew who built it and saw the work. too many people are just cutting them up the wrong way. | |

| what is really funny is how they buy the 200 dollar car, drop a 2000 dollar stereo system in it and huge wheels and still live with their mom or grandma. just ask projekt94, we grew up around all these types of individuals. good old hempstead, texas. hahaha. | |

| haha, curfue, i had one but always broke it. i got pulled over one time cause my dad told me that if i missed curfue one more time that he was going to take my keys away. so i hauled butt in my 65 mustang about 120mph all the way home. a good friend of my mom who is a state trooper pulled me over. he clocked me when i was slowing down to make a turn. 102mph in a 65mph zone and was drizzling. he through the ticket away. i was swetting bullets. | |

Man, that goes for so many different rides that are out there right now. I've fixed some hacked up rides before, and seen more at shows. I usually try and take pics of them when I see them. It's amazing what a person thinks they can do because they went up to Harbor Freight, picked up a 100 wire feed, and welded one bead on some 3/16" they had laying around. Suddenly they are opening a "shop" and doing installs for buddies. Just amazing. | |

| Most of them don't seem to care. Just like the guys that dog on others for not draggin frame, or body for that matter, vs. draggin a pair of $30 ti blocks. Or the one's that will spend an butt load of money on custom parts from Grant Fab, go through the time and effort of either welding them in themselves, or paying someone to do a good job, bodywork it, make it look great, and then rip it off the truck, and think it's the coolest thing since sliced bread. Call me a clam if ya want, but I don't earn money to just blow it on replacing/fixing the same crap, time and again. LOL | |

| there are people around my city like that. they have a club to. i worked at a bodyshop and a body man that knew them told me all about them. one guy had an early 90s s10 with heated and cut coils and just a real hack job. they thought they were the worlds best mechanics and bodymen. one of them brought his ugly old prelude, with a bodykit and primer, to the bodyshop and wanted something. my boss at the time told him to get lost because he didnt want his name associated with that car. | |

| in the 2 towns i reside, oneonta NY and syracuse NY, syracuse does have alot of decent cars or atleast alot closer to decent then most... but the rest are beat up probes, cavaliers, neons, etc.. usualy they all have a nice coat of rust under body and in the wheel wells. actualy this week in oneonta i saw a neon rusted to crap with 2 L7 15's and an aluminum wing screwed onto the OEM fiberglass one. when the subs hit you heard the rust rattle, i had to amuse myself in actualy finding out what was rattling. i still live with my parents at 20 * 21 on sep 11 * i am a full time student a ITT with 2 extra classes per 1/4 and i go to wyotech for some welding/auto body classes off to the side.. i pay rent and the rest of the normal bills with a full time job.. its alot easier to live with my parents right now.. if i didnt i wouldnt be going to school and this is something i will finnish befor i leave | |
