i gotta cop story.. jus happened recently..
actually all of my recent cop stories have been since the crx entered my life.
it's long and drawn out...
Hint: 5 tickets, almost impounded and arrested, and now hit in the rear.

unfortunitly.., there is.
and here it is..

I trailered the car from Fayetteville NC to my home. It took about 9 hours round trip. I stuck the astro tag on it fully knowing it was dead and not the correct tag. The next day I was making my way to the tag office, when I was stopped by an officer for a tail light out, the tag was run.. red flags went up... and then she noticed the inspection was dead.. problem here is it can't be inspected w/o a tag.. hence the reason I was headed to the tag office. I tried to explain the situation to her, and she wouldn't hear it.. next thing i know, i'm being accused of stealing the vehicle. I showed her the title.. snap.. I forgot to sign it.. the guy i bought the vehile from had it signed and notorized before I picked up and it was pouring rain so I stuck it in my jacket pocket to keep it dry... once she noticed I hadn't signed it.. it was on... instantly we were headed down the road of arrest and impounding the car until the previous owner could be contacted and proof of purchase could be obtained. I'm about to crap a brick...
I again went into my explanation, over and over and over again... either she was coming around or tired of hearing me talk.. but she went back to the car and called in the vin to insure it had not been reported stolen. she came back to the crx and told me to park it and leave it until my insurance, and tag were taken care of... whew, I'm not going to jail. I called a ride and we went to take care of business. The cop took my tag. The entire time I was dealing with the cop she was rude, condesending, arrogant, and unwilling to listen. By the time we were done, I wanted to kick her teeth in... but I continued to be nice, until she gave me 3 tickets ( 1 for tail light, 1 for inspection, and 1 for ficticious tag) and said here are your citations and all of these will be dropped once you can show proof of insurance and registration... now early on I invited her to go with me to the tag office ( only 1 block away from where I was stopped!) and she declined... as this point my ride was here and turned to her, being the smart butt i am and asked, if theses tickets are going to be thrown out once I prove ownership, and I was headed to the tag office when you stopped me... then what was the point in stopping me in the first place!? - she told me to get and the car and go...

Now..
I have completed all of the above and decided the first mod to the car was to be tinted glass, which I had installed about 1 week after the incident above. With inside 3 days of tinting my glass I was stopped by a trooper, and received two more tickets. This guy shot accross two lanes of traffic, and a median to get to me for a seat belt ticket.. He then added that my tail light was out ( again), and then proceeded to bash me on my tint. Yes my tint was darker than the NC tint law, yes I knew this when I tinted it... I don't need a lecture... so after his story aboit tinted glass, I asked him ( again me being a smart butt), so if my glass is so dark you can't see me, then who do know whether I had on a seatbelt.. that really got him.. he stutered a bit and he discussed it further.. he then said, okay you got me on the seatbelt, I can't win.. but your getting a ticket for the glass and the light...

What the crap! Inside of two weeks I've obtained 5 tickets!
What else could happen?

Well....
On my third staurday of ownership...
I went to town for a few parts, and lunch. On my way back, I was following a scrap truck who decided to stomp on the brakes and turn into a store.
At this point I'm all over the brakes trying to get stopped. I did.. only to be rear ended by the guy behind me. The damage is really not horrible, although it going to be around $1300...

Think the story is over... not really.
The guy who hit me is uninsured, and both his tag and inspection are dead!
How does this keep happening?

There has to be some luck in here somewhere!
This week I am dealing with my insurance company for the uninsured motorist claim... what fun.

I guess it could, and still can be worse...
What will this week hold in store for me and the crx?

byron, do you remember all the bad luck i had with in the first few monthes of having the civic?

hit and run by a drunk driver in charlotte (who got caught and had to pay)
and then brian machold remote started it in gear at auto zone and did over 5 g in damages to a 2001 subaru outback.

i had alot of bad luck too....but it all works out in the end.
