The Leaf Springs will most likely get in the way of your lower bars if you do a 4-Link! A good way to keep the pinion angle and take them out is to tack weld the axle to the frame using u-bolts. Then you will be able to keep your pinion angle and everything will be out of the way for your 4-link. Plus it makes it easier to center you step notch too! Dev

I don't have any pictures, but let me try to explain it better! Take your regular old U-Bolt and put it under your axle, the axle will now sit in the "U" portion of the bolt. Do this at the end of the axle on each side. Then jack the axle up until it touches the frame. The U-Bolts should be on the outside of the frame rail, and then put a tack weld to hold the U-Bolts to the frame, therefore holding the axle as well. Hope that helped? Dev

| just an added tip.. for every inch of drop....add 1 degree of pinion angle. That's the rule of thumb. Now with that said, if you have a two piece driveshaft... forget it, because that changes everything. | |

| yeh i have a 2 piece. so i could jack it up tack the u-bolts on the frame and on the axle just enough to hold. then take off the springs. this does make sense and would definetely help when welding in the notch | |

I love having a Carrier Bearing...makes things a lot easier! Glad this will help you out though! Dev
