tha 83 b2000

well, this is my 83. i absolutely love this body style! it had it's time when i wanted to get rid of it but then i said screw it and went balls deep into it. here it is.


how it was when i bought it...









s soon as i got it home i had to start un fking the wiring...






then had my homie paint my dash for me after i shaved it in my outside closet at my apartment (many those were shitty times)








and it installed


went to texmex 07 with her. the only show i went to all year and she got put in mt. which is cool because everyone can see how she was when i got her.



then we bought a house and i got a parts truck and installed the stock front end back on it. much nicer.



had a few problems along the ways





and now getting everything ready for texmex08

i will be posting more pics soon.

looks like some quality progress so far dude! can't wait to see more, I love the old style minis too.

a little update...

i got my engine just about ready for primer and paint tonight. man it was a lot more work than i anticipated. did a few other things but no pics of that stuff yet. but here you go...

no bueno! dude painted inside the oil galley and a lot of paint is not there. haha. this is right where the oil filter and sender go.

a little update...

got the engine primed and painted. missed a spot when i taped and got a little on the chain so i will have to spray it with some brake cleaner when the block dries.

and this is about all i got done today, i am beat from helping someone move for about 17 hrs this weekend. really sucked! but here you go. i got the battery mounted in its temporary location until i finish the bed. i will be rollin to texmex cab and chassis.

got my brackets in today to redo the rear for the re7s. and dev i also got the line too. thanks man.

got the bags today and should get my head and the switchbox tomorrow. big thanks to devb22. really appreciate it bro. gonna be nice to toss a few beers back with you bro. my daughters wanted pictures with a bag so here you go.

i also got my oil pan, intake, and exhaust manifold back from sandblasting today. and started painting.

got my head back yesterday and ups really let me down! they did a real number on it. i had to go order new cam bearings today because ups just threw it around and knocked the bearings out and they got scarred up BAD! so now i have to wait until thursday to finish the head. on a good note though, 3 angle valve job, new valve seals, decked the surface, pressured tested for cracks, and cleaned up nicely, for 160 bucks shipped back to me. about 180 total. now i am having a few issues with the intake though. i am using the intake off my parts truck and it is a little different, nothing i can't fix but just a little extra work. i only have a few more accessories to put on. so you will see the complete engine within the week.
