| i painted my fenders about a week ago and i had a big problem today. i went to put my emblems on and i was using tape as a guide i first tested the tape on the lower part of the fender and exactly what i thought but didn't want, happened. it peeled the paint off. WHY? i sanded with 180 grit and cleaned the surface with degreaser. the paint says to use 2:3 with the approved thinner so i mixed 2 parts paint to 3 parts thinner. now the paint was coming out of the gun pretty shitty but looked badass when it dried. and it isn't coming off everywhere just on certain areas. any ideas?
oh and this is just a cheap hotrod black primer that i bought at oreilly auto parts. don't know if that is my problem but it could be. | |

| bad prepping sounds like you either got some oil or somethin on it or didnt sand it well enough in areas or you let the sealer set up too long before painting it thats my 2 cents ive done sutobody since i was about 14 and have seen this alot | |
