| what do y'all run for shocks on your trucks? I changed mine from blown stock ones to belltech nitro-drops in the summer, and now they're almost finished already.. I thought they were supposed to be good stuff. How about Toxic Shocks, are they any good? | |

| well, i had a look and i've got bigger problems than blown shocks - they're broken off from the bottom mounts in the front. The rears look fine. So now i need to find out if there's damage to the actual mounting point, or if it was just the shock that broke. I'm hoping the latter... I'm gonna just put OEM toyota ones in for now i think, and I'm also going to finally install the 2" Belltech lowering spindles so i can turn the torsions back up some and give more travel to hopefully prevent this happening again. | |

| hey, did you get back to mum and dad's yet to fix your truck? It looked good sitting that low, but, the way you got your front end bouncing was pretty funny.

| yeah, i just put new (stock) shocks on yesterday, as well as changing the alternator. I'm pretty unimpresed with the belltech nitro drops, the damping was good when new and stiffer than stock, but where they mount to the LCA isn't nearly as strong as the stock shocks, and the body of the shock isn't any shorter than stock either. I'll do the spindles another time, maybe in a couple weeks. I also got some 15" steels, think i'll paint them before getting tires on. | |

| not sure yet... i'm thinking about getting some sandpaper and bondo and doing a quick & probably not very good rust repair on the body, and spraybombing it flat black. I dig red steels, but I already did that with my winter wheels for the golf. maybe purple, but my interior and engine bay will still be red since if even do it, i'm only gonna spray the outside. | |
