| hey guys..i've got a '92 b2200 se-5. Along the side are decal stripes and stuff like that (u've definately seen 'em b4) is it worth it to strip those off and buff the paint underneath to match the rest or should i just leave 'em on? | |

| sure you can take them off. sit the truck in the sun for a while and get the finish pretty warm the puul into the area you will be working at and use a hair dryer to keep the vinyl hot while peeling it back. Becareful not to burn the finish. Once off use 3m adhesive remover to clean the surface - Don't rush any of this.. take your time and be patient - as long as it has been on there... it will take time to get it off. Once clean, you can have someone or yourself, buff the finish and apply a wax afterwards. You will most likely always be able to see where the decal was, due to wear on the finish and fading, but it will still look better than those stock stripes.. Good Luck. | |

| I pulled my stripes off along with the full body 3" door guard this week. I took them off with a sharp box cutter blade. Just getting it ready for paint. The 20+ year old stripe was really stuck on there. | |
