hi density closed cell foam??

i am redoing the interior of my truck and i am going to add some design to the headliner and door panels but i cant find any local fabric stored with hi-density closed cell foam

is there much of a difference between hi density foam and hi density closed cell foam? most of the fabric stores have the green hi-dens stuff but none fo them even know what closed cell foam is

all done, i just used the hi density foam from jo anns fabrics and some black micro fiber suade

nice work! is it very tough to get the fabric to conform to the shape of the foam?

a bit, yes, its best to do it with 2 people. not so easy to pull the fabric and stretch it when there is glue on your hands... makes for a very messy finish and on suede you see the glue spots when it dries lol

it all depends on what design your doing and how many small corners it has, this skull was a pain in the butt but flames i wont think would have been that bad to do, not to mention i used 1/2" foam instead of 1/4"

thats sweet how did you end up shaping the foam and did you just stick the foam to the factory liner
